Studies

Quick studies. Now, there a reason other than bragging that i did these studies in a short amount of time. which was actually long compared to some awesome artists out there haha.

i wanted to see what was most important to do to make a face look like one. and it worked. the thing that i learned to think of more now is the value changes. the very subtle ones. When the face is turning or if the head is lighter up and darker the more it goes down. also, some strong darks are needed. not a lot but two or 3 places with the right dark values will make the painting pop.

Been a while since i uploaded.
i have to say, painting is getting less fun since everything im doing is study and stuff... But its necessary since im not skilled enough to paint the things i see in my mind. Well, there are other reasons too but... Im not as motivated as before i guess. Hmmm... Also since i dont know anyone else who does art in any way. It kinda sucks but art is my dream and passion so i'm sure i'll work it out!!! I'm just getting started anyways surely lots felt that way before me.

Also, i like afros but they are hard to do man. i still have a lot to learn about hair.
